SUMMARY
The Virgin Islands Climate Change Trust Fund (VICCTF) was proud to participate in the 30th Conference of the Parties (COP30) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), where the Fund shared updates on its development and engaged with regional and international stakeholders through a series of strategic side events.
COP30 provided an important platform for the Trust Fund Board to showcase the significant work undertaken to establish and operationalise this innovative financing mechanism, while strengthening partnerships across the climate finance community.
Through three strategic side events focused on climate finance, the VICCTF raised awareness of its mission, generated valuable dialogue and insights, and fostered new alliances to support its long-term goal of raising, managing and disbursing funds for priority climate change adaptation and mitigation projects across the Virgin Islands.
